True. Nobody wants real, even though this is one of the things that is at the core of Hip Hop. We receive thousands of mixtapes a month. I often find myself listening to brand new, unknown and unsigned rappers talking about how much money they have, how much their chains cost, all their cars etc. There are probably a few exceptions out there. The majority though are simply lying about their situation. When I hear rappers talking about all their money, then they call me asking for the cover or an interview even though they only have 1 song done, I then proceed to ask them to advertise. Next thing you know they are talking about how it’s not in their budget, its a recession, maybe next issue blah blah. Soooo, we have implemented a new policy at Foundation Magazine. If you are lying about who you are, what you have etc, we are not giving you a review, an interview, or the time of day. Dont worry, these other wack ass magazines, websites, and blogs will give you play. Like Nino said to me today “These days being real is real wack”.
GREAT MUSIC

Im not the big shout out guy but DJ J-Ronin’s All Elements 10 is crazy. I told him “yeah I heard it, its hot” for the last month but I never really listend to it, lol. Took some time this week and really checked the tape, this is for the real Hip Hop heads. If you are interested in that lollipop, candy rapper bullshit, then this tape is not for you.
Fortunately there is still people making good music. Sandman from the re-up gang is on his job, spending 10 hours a day in the studio with super producer Tek, and they are making GREAT music. Go to http://www.yeahhhcannons.com/ to get his last 3 mixtapes, Ginormous, Philadelphia Ego, and Number One Suppliya. Nino Bless is beginning to drop lyrical gems al over the internet. Saigon and Statik Selektah got their mixtape dropping soon (thank God). J.Period just dropped a CLASSIC Q-Tip mixtape. Slaughterhouse got a mixtape dropping soon. Jay Rock and DJ Noodles dropped “Coming soon 2 a hood near you”, a great mixtape. Dub Floyd dropped “I do it for Hip Hop” a great compilation of Luda, Jay-Z, and Nas. Donny Goines continues to hit us with nice tracks on a consistent basis through his email blast. So we at Foundation want to say thank you to all these DJ’s and MC’s for making great music. We see you!!
